Tan Skin tones - Shades, pics and more!

Salam aleikum dear sister!

Finding your perfect shade can be a daunting task when done online, so I want to give you all the info possible for you to make a choice.

This series of blog articles is dedicated to each shade range, and all the information about it so you can have a better idea on what to expect!

In this blog, we will be looking at the Tan Range-

If you are in the Tan range your skin most likely can easily tan and is not prone to sun burns, thanks to that melanin!

Deep Amber, Golden bronze, Caramel color, are ways in which you would describe your skin shade, and although most medium skin tones have a warm/golden undertone, it is not always the case ((more on undertones below)

In the Medium Tan Range we have the shades Caramel, Cinnamon and Olive.

mineral skin tint halal, caramel cinnamon olive

Caramel has a Yellow neutral undertone,

Cinnamon has a Cool undertone,

And Olive has a Neutral undertone,

(It's quite possible to have more than one shade match your skin, for example a few of my customers match with both Caramel and Olive, and depending on the season and sun exposure, the switch between the 2)

One of the best ways I've found to determine your best match is to make a comparison with any matches that you've had from other companies.
So, I'm listing matches from other customers who have given me feedback, and also some matches I've tested personally:

WHICH FOUNDATIONS FROM OTHER COMPANIES CAN ALSO  MATCH THE  TAN SKIN RANGE?

-------->Fenty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation 350 - CARAMEL

-------->ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR FOUNDATION BRONZE 5W1 - CARAMEL or GOLDEN
-------->MAC STUDIO FIX NC45- CARAMEL & OLIVE
-------->Huda beauty Foundation Gingerbread 430N - CARAMEL
Undertones play a big role in how your foundation reacts with your skin. You can be in the right shade range, but the wrong undertone can make your skin look ashy, orange or pink, (yikes!.😮) And just in case you need help deciding your undertone, here are some easy tips!

ANOTHER WAY TO FIND YOUR UNDERTONE:
In natural light, look at the inside of your forearm and wrist.
 If the veins are:
Greenish - you have a YELLOW or warm undertone.
Blueish/purple - you have a BLUE/PINK or cool undertone.
Indistinguishable or you see both green and blue - you have a BEIGE or neutral undertone.
